Filling Associate - Alkemia Perfumes - AMHERST

Do you love working with your hands and creating quality products? Alkemia Perfumes is looking for a part time Filling Associate to join our production team! In this role, you’ll be carefully measuring, filling, and packaging products by hand to ensure everything meets our high-quality standards. If you’re detail-oriented, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in creating great products, this could be the perfect role for you!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Measuring and hand-filling products into containers with precision
• Ensuring each item is properly sealed, labeled, and packaged
• Checking for quality—making sure every product looks great and meets company standards
• Keeping your workspace tidy and organized
• Handling materials safely and following production guidelines
• Assisting with inventory and restocking supplies as needed
• Cleaning filling station work areas and equipment as well as participating with other team members on the office cleaning roster
• Occasionally assisting with unloading supply orders and other office team tasks as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• You have a high school diploma or G.E.D. We like all kinds of college diplomas too, but we're more interested in your passion, intelligence, practical skills, and ability to learn.
• Someone who enjoys working with their hands and has good attention to detail
• You have good manual dexterity and clever hands. Working with some components can be a fiddly process so it’s important that you have nimble hands. It helps if you have experience and a love of making art, doing crafting, or similar type work. 
• A team player who’s reliable and enjoys learning.
• You like getting your steps into your day-to-day work. This role is hands-on and physically active so you'll need to be able to stand for periods of time, walk easily, lift up to 40 lb at a time, and be able to handle tasks that involve repetitive motion. 
• A passion for quality and an eye for aesthetic detail
• You delight in all types of diversity, have a variety of interests, have good interpersonal skills, are self-reflective, and enjoy connecting with other people 
• You are vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated annually for Covid and Influenza and willing to mask in the workplace during certain times of the year
• You like being around fragrances. Our perfumes are all phthalate and paraben free but we are a perfume company so the workspace is redolent with a variety of interesting scents, some of which might end up getting on you.
