Part-Time Overnight

Salary: $18.00 - $22.09/hr. depending on experience 

East Longmeadow Memory Care Assisted Living is proud to be part of a 50+ year tradition serving local seniors and their families. Our Life Enrichment Memory Care Program, part of an ongoing expansion of services on our East Longmeadow campus, provides specialized housing and support for residents with significant cognitive impairment. Provides individualized attention, which encourages each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.

Essential Functions:

Is knowledgeable of the individualized care plan for residents, and provides support to the resident in accordance with their care plan.

Contributes to the care planning process by providing the nurse or other care planning staff with specific information and observations of resident’s needs and preferences.

Attends to the individual needs of residents, which may include assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, nail care, shaving, communicating or other needs in keeping with the individuals’ care requirements.

Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents in the delivery of services to them.

Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information.

Prepare residents for meals, serve food trays and assist with feeding as indicated.

Records resident and resident-related events. Performs SAMM in accordance with facility policy and procedure.

Reports any discrepancy noted with family filled medi-sets and pharmacy filled calendar cards.

All prn narcotic medications are cued and signed off by two staff members. SAMM Discrepancy Reports are filled out for all Refusal of medication, Out of medication and Any reason a resident does not receive medications a s prescribed by physician.

Documents all prn medications requested and effect of medication.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred but not required

Completion and proof of a PCA/HHA training program that meets the 54 training hour requirement from EOEA

Previous experience working in long term care/assisted living community preferred

Previous experience working with dementia residents
