Position Overview



The Department of Health Professions invites applications for its Radiologic Technology Adjunct Faculty Pool for the Baccalaureate of Science in Radiologic Technology (B.S. RADT) program. These are part-time, semester-to-semester appointments (Fall and Spring), beginning Fall 2026. Positions are filled as course needs arise each semester.



Adjunct faculty may be assigned to teach didactic (lecture) courses, laboratory sections, and/or conduct clinical site visits, depending on program needs and candidate expertise. MCLA seeks adjunct instructors committed to high-quality undergraduate teaching, student mentoring, and advancing the college's ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the curriculum.



Responsibilities





Teaching & Instruction



  • Deliver assigned didactic (lecture), laboratory, and/or clinical education components of the B.S. RADT curriculum.
  • Develop or adapt course materials, learning activities, and assessments aligned with program Student Learning Outcomes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the discipline and evolving imaging technologies and educational methodologies.
  • Support MCLA's commitment to inclusive pedagogical practices and a diverse learning environment.


Clinical Site Responsibilities (as assigned)



  • Conduct scheduled visits to assigned clinical affiliate sites to monitor student progress and compliance with program guidelines.
  • Provide students with appropriate supervision, feedback, and instruction in clinical settings.
  • Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress while ensuring confidentiality in accordance with program and FERPA policies.


Program Support



  • Contribute to programmatic assessment activities as requested, including review of Student Learning Outcomes.
  • Participate in advisory committee and radiology admissions committee meetings as invited.
  • Provide academic counseling and advisement support to students as appropriate.
  • Perform other tasks or duties in support of program operations as requested by the Program Director.
  • Maintain current Massachusetts Radiology licensure (active and unencumbered) and ARRT registration in good standing throughout employment.


Job Requirements:

Required



  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education (earned by start date).
  • Current, unencumbered Massachusetts Radiology license in good standing.
  • ARRT registration as a Radiologic Technologist, in good standing.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in the professional discipline, or equivalent, within the last five years.


Preferred



  • Knowledge and experience in baccalaureate or post-secondary Radiologic Technology education.
  • Demonstrated teaching ability at the undergraduate level.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive pedagogies and culturally responsive classroom practices.
  • Additional ARRT modality certifications in Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, or MRI.


Additional Information:

Salary for this position is $1,647.88 - $2,493.49/credit. Position starts on 9/01/2026



Adjunct faculty compensation is governed by the Massachusetts State College Association (MSCA) collective bargaining agreement. Course assignments are made on a semester-by-semester basis based on program enrollment and curricular needs.
