Nutrition Program Assistant

NUTRITION PROGRAM ASSISTANT – Meals on Wheels Kitchen  - Erving, MA

Part Time, Monday – Friday, mornings, 20 hours per week

LifePath is a mission-driven, collaborative and community-focused human services agency.  This is a great opportunity to join LifePath’s nutrition team as a Nutrition Program Assistant. The Nutrition Program Assistant is responsible to the Nutrition Program Director in assignments at the Meals on Wheels Kitchen or a Congregate Dining Center. Will support the program with various activities at the kitchen including; back-up to Dining Manager, food prep and clean up, some administrative tasks, and substitute driver (mileage paid for meal delivery). 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Re-thermalize (heat) and pack heated portions for Home Delivered Meals
• Check temperatures and count portions received from the Caterer
• Insure portion control
• Pack cold parts containers for Home Delivered Meals
• Deliver home delivery meals as requested
• Oversee sanitation
• Clean kitchen, wash all pans and utensils, mop out containers, and remove trash
• Requisition kitchen supplies from manager

This position pays $17.51 per hour and is scheduled 20 hours per week, 4 hours per morning/early afternoon, Monday-Friday. Schedule start time varies between 7 – 9 AM, depending on daily assignment.  Benefits include: dental, vision, company-provided life insurance, and generous paid time off.
