JANITORIAL STAFF

Education Level: High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Work Experience: Minimum 1 year related experience preferred

SUMMARY:
The Janitorial position is for someone who can work independently, has dependable transportation, is physically fit and can follow instructions.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
-Assisting customers with questions or directing them to someone who can assist
-Cleaning/Sanitation
-Teamwork & communication
-Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
-Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly building and grounds
-Assist company employees with laborious tasks in order to meet needs of daily events
KEY JOB DUTIES (not exhaustive)
-Maintain regular and prompt attendance at worksite
-Perform other duties as assigned
-Exemplary customer service
-Ability to multitask
-General building/grounds maintenance & upkeep
-Keeping sales floor clean and organized
-Service, clean and supply restrooms
-Cleaning
-Mopping
-Sweeping
-Replenishing & maintaining sanitation stations
-Operating cardboard compactor (filling & emptying)
-Operating trash shoot
-Maintaining the compost area
-Washing windows & walls
-Collecting trash
-Dusting
-Shoveling/snow blowing, spreading sand/salt
-Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks
-Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blower, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals
-Routine laundry duties
