The Town of Amherst seeks a Laborer/Truck Driver to perform skilled work in the operation of light and heavy trucks and perform a variety of maintenance and construction duties, including installation of drains, water and sewer lines, repair of underground structures and pavement surfaces.  Perform snow and ice removal operations including plowing, snow removal and sanding and assist in the operation of pumping stations and treatment plants.  Designated Essential Personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from high school or High School Equivalency PLUS one (1) to three (3) years of experience performing related work; OR any combination of education/specialized training and experience which demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of the position.  Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and Valid CDL with endorsements for air brakes and tanker.
